Frequently Asked Questions

I have a semi-automatic shotgun but it uses box magazines. Can I bring that to class?

For the purpose of this class, box-fed shotguns are not applicable. There is a reason such weapon systems are not employed by military and law enforcement. The purpose of this class is to teach defensive shotgun tactics with platforms that generally have a proven track record. While your firearm may be perfectly serviceable, much of the course material we cover, frankly will not apply to that style of firearm.

I'm having a hard time finding slugs for the class. Any suggestions?

We will have limited quantities of slugs and buckshot available for purchase for students that are unable to find enough prior to the day of class. Arrangements must be made 48 hours in advance to purchase and reserve ammo if needed.

What kind of dummy rounds should I bring and where can I purchase them?

We only recommend inert dummy rounds made from real shot shell materials to mimic genuine weight and feel of live ammunition. Check out the following links for various types of dummy shells depending on what you need.

We Don't Leave You Hanging

Most shooting classes are over when they end. With the amount of information covered in the two days we are together, we want you to get the most out of your experience.

This is why, when the event is over, you and your classmates will be given access to videos, spreadsheets, and printouts reviewing what we covered in class that you may reference as often as you would like to keep your competition training moving forward!
